Marsh's MMGM pick for this week is The Red Pyramid (Kane Chronicles #1) by Rick Riordan!

When I finished the Percy Jackson and the Olympians Series by Rick Riordan I was really devastated because I didn't have anything from Rick Riordan to read anymore, but then I found out that he was coming out with a new book called The Red Pyramid.  When I saw that the book was going to be about Egyptian Mythology I thought that it would be very interesting, because I learned a little about Egyptian Mythology by visiting museums and reading some non-fiction books.  The Kane Chronicles main characters are Sadie and Carter, who are brother and sister, who are having lots of adventures, but also have to overcome their sibling conflicts to save the world.  I really enjoyed the characters and plot in this book.  I have also read the second book in this series,  The Throne of Fire, and I am really excited for the third book, The Serpent's Shadow to come out in May.  And also remember that The Kane Chronicles: Survival Guide comes out on March 20th, if you're like me and can't wait for the next book!

Please visit Rick Riordan's site for further information:

Also in this series is:

COMING SOON, but not soon enough:

  1. I've only read the first book in this series. I haven't loved this series as much as Rick Riordan's other two series. But thanks for sharing about it.

    1. We are so glad to be participating in MMGM this week. This book was great and i really think that you will love these books if you liked the Percy Jackson books. I really enjoyed how this one had Egyptian Mythology in it, but I have to say I liked the Percy Jackson Books better and this is a close second. Thank you for following and commenting. I will try to get the " Serpents Shadow " review up as soon as it comes out.
      Thanks again,
      Marsh
