Marsh's Review of Insurgent

     After the Erudite declared war on Abnegation, the Dauntless split up into two sides:  the Erudite Dauntless and the Loyal Dauntless.  Tris is a loyal Dauntless that is fighting against the Erudite to destroy the simulation.  The simulations are serums that the Erudite use to take over people's minds.  Can Tris destroy the Simulation?

     I thought this was a perfect sequel to Divergent.  I really liked how the book was paced.  I loved the descriptions, like the description of the battle-ruined Erudite.  I really felt like I was there. I think that it was well written and very well planned out.  Veronica Roth's writing makes you think about what you would do in the situations she describes.  

I give Insurgent by Veronica Roth 5 Monsters.

Marsh's Picks for Great Summer Series:

     If you have just read The Hunger Games Trilogy by Suzanne Collins and are thirsty for another dystopian book, look no more.  The Divergent Series by Veronica Roth is just what you are looking for.  It has inspiring characters, great adventures, and much more.  You cannot stop reading these books once you start.  So, check them out today!

     This is the series that brought me into the world of reading.  The Percy Jackson and the Olympian Series by Rick Riordan.  It has compelling characters, details descriptions, and lots of humor.  I learned everything I know about Greek Mythology the fun way--  by reading this series.  If you haven't read these books then go buy or borrow them!
